Mind Magic- Poppy Dennison

Mind Magic by Poppy Dennison, published by Dreamspinner Press

Book description (from Netgalley)

Magical species must never mix. According to the rules, Simon Osborne should ignore the children’s cries for help. After all, they’re werewolf cubs, and he’s an apprentice mage. But for once in his life, Simon breaks the rules and rescues the cubs, saving them from a demon intent on draining them of their magic.

Of  course, all actions have consequences, and Simon’s bold move earns him the displeasure of his peers and the attention of the cubs’ alpha, a man named Gray Townsend.

The  last thing Gray needs is a mage in his life, but Simon did save his son. Since Simon is now a friend of the pack, Gray doesn’t have much choice about it—or the forbidden attraction that goes along with it. Unfortunately for the alpha, he needs Simon’s help to track down the demon behind the kidnappings—before it strikes again. Simon and Gray must join forces to protect the pack, even as they struggle to resist the temptation that threatens to destroy them both.

As always, I start out with my personal rating: This is definitely one of my Good Books. When I got the email telling me that I was approved for this book I was ecstatic. The cover drew my attention from the very beginning and I knew that this would be a good read. One of the things that caught my attention when I started reading was that Simon's (the main character) magic was more than just a tool to him. it was his conscience and his life. It leads him to the were-cubs despite the fact that he could lose the thing that he had been working for his entire life, And when he met one of the cubs fathers -who happens to be the Alpha- the sparks start flying immediately. The attraction, and even the sex (this isn't a book for minors) was by far the most realistic I have read in a very long time. While I wish we could have seen more of the wolf's property, overall, the descriptions were very clear and well thought out. This book is really well written and a very enjoyable read. I would recommend it to anyone who is interested in paranormal fiction or really just anyone. Go find it and enjoy
